We employ and train care givers to become Nu:Gen Care Ambassadors for us or for other care providers through our care agency.

Our employment service is primarily for Black Minority Ethnic (BME) individuals recruited through a variety of methods, including existing employment programmes. All recruits will participate in the Nu:Gen Care Ambassador training programme and in doing so they will achieve the skills, knowledge and experience to become culturally competent care staff.
Our trained staff will also be able to offer the specialist services to other care providers on a temporary or permanent basis, through our care agency.

I have little/no care experience, would you train me before I look after a client?
All our Nu:Gen Care Ambassadors undertake a 6week induction and training programme before they are qualified to go out to look after a client on their own. This includes our NCA training programme, shadowing and assessments, so that you are confident and fully equipped to provide excellent care.
How soon would I care for a client after being employed with you?
All our NCA’s undertake our 6 week training. Once training successfully completed and we have received satisfactory references and positive checks, you are then eligible to go out and provide care. This process can take up to 8 weeks to complete.
I work for another company, but they don’t offer me enough care hours. Can I get calls to work around my other job?
Registering on our care agency means that you are available to do extra shifts to cover sickness and holidays for our company and for other care providers. Once you register, we will ask you about your availability. If you are working for another company, we cannot guarantee that you would receive shifts around your other job.
Are there any career development opportunities within the company?
As an NCA we actively encourage and support continued personal development. We work closely with you to create your professional development plan and this is reviewed at your supervision. We will always look to promote internally before recruiting from outside the company.
